Why My Baby Is Healthier Than Yours!

Healthy Baby Healthy You

Becoming a first-time family can be one of the most nerve-wrecking experiences a couple will go through. It’s important before the baby comes to become as informed as possible on all subjects concerning your baby’s health. There is no right and wrong answer when it comes to feeding and immunizations but being aware of all the pros and cons of each can help form the most educated choice. One of the most important things is having a healthy baby- keeping your baby happy.

Some mothers have an inherently easy time when breast feeding. It is true what the doctors say, “breast is best”. Breast feeding gives your baby all of the antibodies, nutrients, vitamins and minerals that will need to thrive his or her first year of life. If the mother doesn’t have any health complications, breast feeding should be easy and preferred. For some mothers it is simply unrealistic – Their milk doesn’t come in, they can’t produce enough, or they are on medications. Formula is a great replacement for mothers that don’t have a choice in the matter. Formula still makes a healthy baby. Scientists have formulated powder milk to mimic breast-milk as close as possible.

Immunizations are often required for pre-schools and even some day-cares. Although some mothers and fathers are against immunizations, reading thoroughly should be required before deciding against it. Scientific studies can sometimes raise questions but ultimately talking with a pediatrician about concerns can help you make the most informative choice on the matter. If there are some immunizations you would prefer to opt out of, find out what kind of documentation is needed as to not deal with problems down the road. Immunizations don’t necessary mean a healthy baby- keeping your baby happy. Avoiding sickness is important constantly with newborns and infants.

There is a lot to be said for maintaining a baby’s emotional, spiritual and physical health. Many parents may be able to maintain one aspect of health but maintaining all three may prove to be a difficult task. Did you know that offering a baby the right baby names could actually lead to overall emotional well-being? In fact, many professionals will tell parents to choose a name that is not only spiritually empowering but also opens doors for professionalism in their adult lives. Naming your baby is just part of the overall wellness plan for your baby. The key to why my baby is healthier than yours can be found in several aspects of the baby’s life and even discovered during pregnancy.

During pregnancy, it is important to begin educating yourself on everything from the chemicals that go into processed baby food to the vaccinations that your baby receives. Did you know that there are several vaccinations that are optional and that are offered across the nation but may not necessarily be beneficial to your baby? Knowing what will happen to your baby from the moment of birth through taking the baby home from the hospital is a key educational fact to your baby’s physical health. In fact, it is during this education that many parents turn to natural childbirth simply to cut down on the exposure the newborn will have to chemicals, harsh nursery conditions or even exposure to elements within the delivery room that could affect the baby’s emotional well-being.

Another reason my baby is a happy healthy baby; aside from educating myself prior to delivery, is in the baby toys I choose. Did you know that certain baby toys might in fact be unsafe for your children or have harmful coloring or fiber additives that could cause illnesses? Recalls happen every year for lead being found in baby toys from imported baby toys. Overall if you want your baby to be as healthy as mine education is the key.
